Renacen, a Spanish software developer, has won the Crystal Cabin Award in the Visualization category at the Aircraft Interiors Expo with its 3DSeatMapVR visualization engine. This tool allows consumers to preview the aircraft cabin before booking tickets. The company also announced that Emirates Airlines will be the first airline to deploy Renacen's technology across all digital channels.
The unique feature of 3DSeatMapVR is its ability to provide an immersive 3D, 360-degree cabin experience from any seat chosen by passengers. This allows consumers to better understand seat features and cabin decor and select the most suitable seat by comparing different cabins and positions.
Renacen's software is compatible with all platforms, including desktop and mobile, and does not require any complex integration or software installation on passengers' devices as it is based on a web browser. The system supports 360-degree views, allowing passengers to explore the cabin using VR headsets, such as Google Cardboard.
