Rift S发售在即,笔记本电脑需配备Mini DisplayPort接口
Oculus has released a compatibility checking tool and announced some usage specifications for the Rift S, which is soon to be officially launched. Rift S requires a DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort, as well as a USB 3.0 port. It also requires the Windows 10 operating system, and Oculus Ready Program provides official certified PC and notebook models that are compatible with Oculus devices. If using a laptop, make sure it is equipped with a Mini DisplayPort as Rift S has high display bandwidth requirements and needs to be directly connected to the GPU. Some laptops may only have HDMI, Thunderbolt, or USB-C display outputs, which may not be compatible with Rift S. It is recommended to choose an officially certified Oculus PC if purchasing a new laptop. Sufficient space should be prepared for using Rift S, with a minimum of 1m×1m for standing mode and 2m×2m for room-scale mode. Rift S has an integrated room-scale tracking system and does not require external sensors. Existing Oculus content can be played with Rift S, but the new Touch controllers included with the new headset must be used.
