Closing Microsoft's Mixed Reality Studio in Berlin comes as a surprise as Microsoft Germany has been collaborating closely with automotive manufacturers and has been working on integrating HoloLens in the design and production process. The studio, responsible for the HoloLens project, will be shut down with 10 employees needing to find new positions. Dirk Songür, the studio's head, announced the closure on Twitter and expressed his regret about the decision. He emphasized that it was a "rational business and strategic decision" made by Microsoft. Songür hopes that the team members will find suitable new positions and reflects on the past two and a half years as a happy time spent at Microsoft, considering it a wonderful memory.
