Prism VR, a VR education platform, has recently launched a math teaching module called "Prisms Math" on the Meta Quest Store. This module is designed for students and teachers in grades 8 to 11, and the annual subscription fee is $24. The team behind Prism VR emphasizes that this VR content module helps students better understand core math, geometry, and algebra concepts. The teaching application incorporates problem-driven, tactile, and visual learning into math classrooms, covering various math topics such as linear functions, equation systems, linear regression, and exponential functions. Users can experience and solve real-world problems in an immersive environment, visualize and interact with models, and connect 3D experiences with abstract representations such as graphs, tables, and equations. The platform also provides real-time insights and comprehensive reports for teachers, parents, and tutors to track progress and plan for future learning. According to the CEO of Prism, Anurupa Ganguly, virtual reality is a scalable technology that allows students to learn through experiential and spatial learning, making it an ideal way to teach math and science concepts.
