AWE USA 2024 will be held in Los Angeles, California from June 18th to 20th. Oculus founder Palmer Luckey recently announced his plan to officially unveil his VR headset device at the event. He previously released a handheld device called ModRetro Chromatic, which drew some mockery from XR intelligence specialist Brad Lynch. Luckey responded in the comments, stating that he has been developing a new headset and plans to announce it at the AWE conference. However, he did not provide much detail about the device. Despite leaving his own company, Luckey has remained committed to the VR field and has made several comments on related news. For example, he expressed his approval of Apple's high-end approach with the Vision Pro headset. He also previously mentioned his DIY VR device that can kill players, with the device exploding if the player dies in the virtual reality, believing that such a connection between virtual and real worlds with death as the cost is necessary for achieving the ultimate sense of realism in VR.
