Valve recently released the hardware and software survey data for July 2024 on Steam. The percentage of VR headset users decreased by 0.24% to 1.75%. In terms of specific headsets, the Quest 2 increased by 1.39% to 39.66%, showing the largest increase in July and maintaining its first-place ranking. The Quest 3, after experiencing its first decline in market share in June, saw a slight increase of 0.15% to 15.65%, continuing to rank third. It is worth noting that the Quest 3 has consistently shown growth since it was included in the statistics, achieving eight consecutive increases until May, but June marked its first decline. In terms of other headsets, the Rift S decreased by 0.17% to 7.46%. As for other brands, PICO 4 decreased by 0.19% to 2.37%, PICO Neo 3 decreased by 0.13% to 0.50%, and PICO Neo 2 decreased by 0.01% to 0.02%. Additionally, DPVR E4 from Dapeng had a statistical data share of 0.05% in July, a decrease of 0.01%. In terms of overall market share, Meta slightly decreased to 64.63% in July but still remained in first place. Valve (16.10%), HTC (6.42%), WMR (3.73%), and PICO (2.89%) followed closely behind.
