Qualcomm XR Innovation Application Challenge (Qualcomm XR创新应用挑战赛) has launched its second edition on February 14. As part of the competition, a series of online and offline public courses will be held. The second online course of the competition will take place on March 13. The course will be hosted by Pico SDK Software Manager Shang Aili and Tobii Senior Project Manager Liang Zhijie. The theme of the course is "In-depth Analysis of Pico XR SDK and Eye Tracking in XR Application Development."
In the course, Shang Aili and Liang Zhijie will share content on "Pico XR SDK (Unity & UE4) Development Guide" and "The Value and Tools of Eye Tracking in XR Application Development," respectively. The competition supports development using Unity or Unreal.
The course is open for registration and is suitable for Pico XR Unity/Unreal developers, cloud computing/big data developers, XR application developers, XR product managers, XR content creators, students, and anyone else interested in the topic.
The course aims to help developers quickly familiarize themselves with the usage and adaptation of Pico Unity SDK and Pico UE4 SDK, reducing the learning costs of using, developing, and migrating SDKs, and improving business efficiency.
Furthermore, eye tracking technology, as one of the core technologies in the XR field, is increasingly integrated into XR hardware devices such as Pico Neo 2 Eye and Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 reference design. Eye tracking technology has great value in optimizing XR hardware resources, enhancing user immersion, and providing data insights.
In the course, Liang Zhijie will introduce the core value, latest technology and tools, and application cases of eye tracking in XR application development. He will also provide a comprehensive introduction to the basics and core value of eye tracking, and discuss the development environment, eye tracking application design, and eye tracking resources, enabling developers to have a deeper understanding of eye tracking development technology and practical methods for application.
