Vertigo Games, the studio behind popular VR titles such as "Arizona Sunshine" and "Skyworld," had announced a post-apocalyptic survival shooter game called "After the Fall" in 2019. The game, which was initially scheduled for release in 2020, has now been confirmed to be launching this summer for Oculus Rift players with full cross-platform multiplayer support.
The story is set nearly 20 years after a major disaster in the snow-covered ruins of Los Angeles. A massive biochemical crisis caused by the excessive use of genetically modified drugs has unleashed terrifying creatures called Snowbreed, which have overrun the city and threaten humanity with extinction.
As one of the immune survivors, players explore the ruined city, scavenge for useful items, and craft a variety of deadly long-range and melee weapons to fight against different types of Snowbreed and powerful bosses. Players can also upgrade armor and other equipment to survive in the treacherous snow world.
"After the Fall" offers an immersive post-apocalyptic world where players can team up with friends from around the world. The game provides story-driven missions and intense combat experiences. The game is planned to launch this summer on Oculus Rift with full cross-platform multiplayer support.
