Pico Neo 2 was released in March 2020 with a price tag of 4399 yuan. The official release of Pico Neo 2 marked the opening of the Chinese VR game console market. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the release of the Oculus Quest 2, Pico CEO Zhou Hongwei stated that the sales of Neo 2 were satisfactory. Pico Store, the content platform for Pico devices, has grown to offer 75 6DoF games and 22 6DoF applications, approaching Zhou Hongwei's goal of having hundreds of 6DoF games available within a year. Pico is focused on three main content genres: first-person shooter games, sports, and IP-based games, which have been well received by consumers. Pico aims to provide a competitive price and improve hardware performance, software content library, and developer ecosystem with the upcoming Pico Neo 3. Pico is confident in the future of the VR market and is actively addressing challenges to achieve growth and improvement.
