Quest Build 200 was recently released with only a few optimizations and fixes. However, developer Gerald McAlister discovered a series of new features by analyzing related code snippets, such as sofa protection settings, keyboard tracking, and spatial persistence service. The "sofa protection settings" allow users to draw precise boundaries for their sofas to create a detailed and safe play area. The code also confirmed the existence of the "passthrough keyboard" feature, which enables users to use a physical keyboard recognized by the integrated cameras in the headset and map it to a virtual keyboard. The code suggests that the Oculus Quest can recognize different keyboard types, including MacBook keyboards. Other features mentioned include expanded battery installation, multi-user spatial positioning for local multiplayer games, screen sharing extension to browsers like Google Chrome, the end of Oculus Link beta testing, and additional social features in Oculus Gallery.
